CA was represented by 19 members of the Speech and Debate team at the Yale Invitational hosted in New Haven Connecticut over the weekend of September 30th thru October 2nd. The team had one of its strongest showings ever at this prominent early season tournament exceling in both the speech and debate events. On the speech side all three of CA's entry reached the semifinal round- Andrew Lim in Dramatic Interpretation. Jacob Farris in Informative Speaking, and Isabel Chang in Original Oratory. On the debate side Rebecca Liu was both the champion and the top speaker in Junior Varsity Lincoln Douglas Debate. She was joined in the elimination rounds of JV LD by Derek Han who reached the semifinal round and was also the 6th Place Speaker, and Allen Huang who reached the octafinal round. In Varsity Public Forum the team of Ella Zhang and Fiona Hu reached the semifinal round before eliminated, and were joined in the elimination rounds by the team of Adam Levin and Ayan Jung who were eliminated in Triple Octafinals.
