Two members of the Cary Academy Speech and Debate team competed vitrually in the Florida Blue Key Tournament hosted by the University of Florida over the weekend of October 29th thru 31st. Adam Levin and Ayan Jung reached the octafinal round of Publice Forum Debate placing in the top 16 out of 94 teams representing 16 states. Adam was also the 13th place speaker.
55 members of the CA Speech and Debate team competed virtually in the second Dogwood League Tournament of the year on Saturday October 23rd. For the thrid time this year and for the 11th straight Dogwood tournament CA was the overall sweepstakes winner based on the following student's individual performances:

Katherine He was the champion of Informative Speaking placing first out of a field of 30 competitors from 14 different states.
3 members of the Cary Academy Speech and Debate team competed virtually on Saturday October 16th in the 35th annual invitational hosted by Bob Jones Academy of Greenville Sout Carolina. Hamza Adnan placed 5th in Varsity Lincoln Douglas Debate and Annie Boyse placed 5th in Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate.
7 members of the Cary Academy Speech and Debate team competed virtually at the Viking Classic hosted by North Mecklenburg High School on Saturday October 9th. Hailey Zhang placed 6th in Declamation.
Tne first Dogwood League tournament of the season was held virtually on Saturday October 9th attended by 63 members of the Cary Academy Speech and Debate team. CA ended the day as the overall sweepstakes champion for the 10th straight Dogwood tournament after strong performances in both the speech and debate events. Led a by a close out of Junior Varsity Public Forum Debate and a championship in Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate the team was the champion in Debate sweepstakes and 4th overall in a field of 97 schools representing 26 states.
