20 members of the Cary Academy Speech and Debate team competed in the Tarheel East NSDA District Tournament for Speech and Debate events hosted virtually over the weekend of April 25th-26th. CA had an outstanding showing finishing second overall in sweepstakes and adding an additional 9 qualifers to the National Tournament in June. Qualifying to the Nationals were:

CA also has a 20 year streak of having at least one Extemper qualify for Nationals, as well as eight year streak of qualifying in Lincoln Douglas Debate. |
